Time: 12:00 pm

Rising 9th graders welcome to attend! Summer workouts will be starting June 11th and going through the summer. They will be Monday, Wednesday, and Thursday each week, with the exception of July 2nd-6th, as this is GHSA Dead Week. Times will be from 12 pm – 1 pm. This is an important time for our program to get in the weight room and get stronger. We will also do some small conditioning work to keep us in shape and ready for the summer league games and tournament.

* Summer Book ClubSummer Book Club

SUMMER BOOK HATERS is BACK! This is a fun summer book club for haters (and lovers!) of summer reading! ALL students who participate in four out of five sessions will receive extra credit in their lit classes next year! We will meet every Tuesday in June and on July 11th at the following locations: June 5th – 5:00 to 6:15 – Gritters Library, Shaw Park – Introduction, ice-breakers, assign books June 12 – 5:00 – 7:15 – KSU Holocaust Museum, 3333 Busbee Drive, Kennesaw – Please come in at the East Entrance – We will get a personal tour of the Holocaust exhibits and then have our session after the tour. Please note the later end time for this date. June 19th, June 26th, July 11th – Gritters Library. We will have a copy of the book for your student. However, you are also welcome to purchase your own copy if you like! J AND…YES! Any student who actively participates in four out of the five sessions will receive extra credit in his/her lit. class next year! Tuesday: July 17 The Greater Atlanta Regional Network of college admissions counselors will be at the Milton, GA Library (Fulton County) for a summer college fair. There are over 35+ member schools in this organization and we’ll set up tables throughout the library for students and parents to visit, ask questions and grab some “SWAG”. Tuesday, July 17: 5pm-700pm. No reservations needed. All grades and parents welcome. A list of attending schools will be finalized later this summer. www.thegarn.org

Various clubs and organizations will be in the Gym as well as a short presentation by SHS Administration. SHS PTSA will be in the cafeteria selling memberships.
